BlackBerry Bliss!
I got a new PDA. Thank you Lord! I chose to purchase a BlackBerry 8830. This phone definitely is missing some key features that I had on my palm 700p, but I got a deal on the BlackBerry and on top of that I'm able to using this phone internationally. I'll be traveling quite a bit internationally this year so this should come in handy. If anyone is an experienced BlackBerry user any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated. I do miss a built in camera phone :(

MeVu...Love the Concept
Check it out. Love this utility. It helps me bring it all together.
MeVu is:
FaceBook, Myspace, Linkedin, Del.ici.ous, YouTube, Blogger, Digg, Flickr, forum profiles, your own websites...people have so many web presences these days. Just how do you tell your friends, in one place, where on the net you live? This is the single purpose of MeVu. Please take a look, and then create your own free page.

Death of a Treo...
Today is a sad day. My palm Treo 700p died. It was only 2 months old. Can anyone relate to the feeling of losing your mobile communications device? I can't make calls, read my emails, update my blog, txt message, check voicemails, twitter, mobile IM, access my schedule or my contacts, surf the web, take pictures, use my GPS, create a word doc on documents to go, or access my to do list. Wow, that's alot. I never really thought about how central my treo was to accessing all of my important information. I also didn't realize how often I grab the holster that holds my treo to check, send, or receive some sort of voice or data communications. As I'm typing this I've just place a bid on ebay for a Motorola Q. Has anyone ever used one of these? Maybe I should get a blackberry 8830 or an Apple iPhone. R.I.P. old friend.

The OC has turned into the IE
So it's currently 86 degrees. :( It's October, isn't it supposed to be getting colder? Not really the fires have "heated" things up a bit around here. I just walk out of my office is Huntington Beach and was blasted by the heat wave. Wow, it feels like summer again, except with ash in the air. Oh well, it's the price we pay for where we live.

Why They Exist...
So I've really been digging this "blogging" concept alot. I set out today to do some research on why some of these social networks exist. Let's take a look:
Virb - "Virb is a place that lets you put all of the things that make you - photos, videos, blogs - in one place. So you can find friends and friends can find you.
Facebook - Facebook is a social utility that connects you with the people around you.
Myspace - "A place for friends."
Twitter - Stay connect w/ friends in a variety of ways.
Blogger - "Push-button publishing."
Livejournal - LiveJournal lets you express yourself, share your life, and connect with friends online.
Friendster - "Find. Connect. Stay in touch."
Incredibly interesting all of the social networks are about one thing: Connection! As the web community matures and develops the need for information dimishes, but the need for community increases. It's also interesting to see how information is becoming "minaturized." Twitter is a great example of that. Twitter is all about bite-sized information. I think starting next week I will blog everyday using a "bite-sized" approach. Let me know what you think about it. I'd be interested to receive your feedback.

If you don't stand, you might fall
I was at the movies the other night. After our movie was over, a group of us were standing in the foyer of the theater waiting for our the rest of our friends to exit the restroom. I love movie posters, displays, etc. I found this one and I was immediately struck by the phrase at the top of the display. It read, "If you don't stand for something, You might fall for anything." I love that! If any one has any feedback I would love to hear it.
